Message From Pastor Brown
As pastor, I encourage you to join us in any of our services. Our services are friendly, warm and spirit-filled. Sunday School begins at 9:30 A.M. and our Sunday Morning Praise and Worship Service starts at 11: 00 A.M. For a list of our evening services, see our Annual Days page.
As we celebrate life, this is the day, a glorious day, that the Lord has made. Today, I want you to make a commitment. Commit yourself to a life of serving God, to the fullest of your ability. Faith gets you happiness, achievement, and a Life in Christ.
Now that you have decided to make this commitment, don't look back stay on the course until your purpose in life is discovered and fulfilled. Your life has a purpose, a destiny, a meaning. Keep your mind stayed on Christ, devote the time and attention necessary to find and fulfill your life's goals. Pray that you be willing to be open to the advice of others, but always keep your eyes on the prize.
God's Grace gives us patience to wait but also a Hope to never let a day go by without taking at least one step closer to Him and your goals. Don't condemn or criticize others, for in doing this you only harm yourself. If you are wronged, count it a blessing to be mature enough to forgive. Look to the Hills from which come your health. Claim it you will receive it.
Allow yourself to be forgiven, don't stay down, look up, it is not a sin to fall down, only sin to lie there.
Thank you for accepting Christ in your life today. Start over today. God has forgiven you. You are a new creature in Christ. Keep you mind stayed on Him. He is worthy of all Praise.
I encourage you to worship with us. Our Church has an open door to all and we are waiting for you. We are a ministry of reconciliation. My desire is to see all souls saved and lives changed as God work in and through me.
I want you to know that without FAITH it is impossible to please God. Faith is a reality, something that gives "substance" to things before they become visible to the natural eye.
When we are "born again" we are given spiritual eyes to see things and understand things that otherwise we could not discern without the Holy Spirit. When we are submitted to the Lord, He then begins to guide and lead us by His Spirit; we follow Him in faith knowing He will not disappoint us or lead us astray. We must learn to obey Him even when we do not see or understand how He is leading.
We must know the Word of God for our faith to increase. Many times, we take only a portion of His Word and quote it and expect answers, when we must learn other portions that work along with the portion we are quoting. An example would be if we do pray a prayer of faith, yet do not obey God, our faith would be in vain.
If we feel we do not have sufficient faith to remove our "mountain of difficulty," we can always ask the Lord for the "gift of faith." This gift is one of the provisions for those who are baptized with the Holy Spirit.
The Lord did not leave us without the tools to overcome our lack of faith. We can simply ask God to give us the "gift of faith" we need for whatever problem we might have. As we are faithful to exercise our "measure of faith" that has been given to each of us, our faith will grow. Then we can believe God for greater things even without the gift of faith. However, if we need the gift, we can ask and the Lord will supply if our hearts are right.
I want to ask you the most important question of your life. Are you saved? Have you ever asked Jesus Christ to come into your heart, forgive you of your sins, and save your soul? The Bible says in I Corinthians 15:3-5 that Jesus died, was buried, and rose again the third day according to the scriptures. He died on Calvary's Cross to pay for your sins, because He loves YOU! John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life." Jesus said, "Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish..." Will you admit you are a sinner and deserve to go to Hell? Will you ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins? Will you ask Jesus to come into your heart and save you? If you will do those three things, the Bible says you will be saved (Romans 10: 9-13).
If you have just asked Jesus to save you, then you need to let someone know. Please, call us here or send us a letter or an e-mail and let us rejoice with you over your salvation.
Hold on to God's Unchanging hands.
