About Pastor Brown
Pastor David L. Brown accepted Christ at the age of seven and was baptized at the Metropolitan M. B. Church in Clarksdale Ms. by the late Rev. S. L. Jones. He can remember his baptismal as if it was yesterday. He remembers going down into the water and coming up shouting and filled with the Holy Ghost. He has been on the battlefield for the Lord ever since.
Pastor Brown is married to the love of his life, Valda M. Brown, and they have 3 children.
He sang in the junior choir and started conducting devotion at the age of ten. After moving to Chicago, Pastor Brown joined the Mt. Sinai M. B. Church. He remained a member there until he moved his membership to the Mt. Carmel M. B. Church where he was ordained a Deacon. Pastor Brown remained a member of Mt. Carmel until he moved his membership to Antioch M.B. Church, where he was the Associate Minister.
After twenty-two years as a deacon, the Lord called him to preach.
Pastor Brown has continued to proclaim the Word to all who will listen.
Those who know Pastor Brown, now and in the past, can testify that he has always had the spirit of David. He is an honest man with a good reputation inside and outside of the church. No one can speak against the life he lives. His friendship and leadership extends throughout many communities in Chicago.
He continues to be a father, a teacher, a brother, a friend, a counselor, and a spiritual adviser to many. He loves his church and especially children and is devoted to both of them. He is a righteous and upstanding man.
Pastor Brown holds an AA in Liberal Arts from the City Colleges of Chicago, a BS in Business Administration from Chicago State University and a BS in Biblical Studies from the International College of Bible Theology and he asks for your continual prayers and blessings as he pursues his Master's Degree.
Pastor Brown was led by the Spirit of God to incorporate New Beginnings M. B. Church of Chicago, located in the Harvey, Illinois in 2004. Since then he has worked very hard to bring salvation, love and unity to the church and community.
Pastor Brown has wisdom and understanding that only the Lord gives. He has done great wonders. He is a honest man for he is on good ground and has an honest and good heart. He has heard the Word and kept it and brought forth fruit with patience.
Pastor Brown is a teacher who comes from God: for no man can do the miracles that he does, except God be with him. He teaches the first oracles/revelations of God. He is in Sunday School every Sunday. He speaks and teaches the things of the Lord.
Pastor Brown is an eloquent man and loves the scriptures. He is instructed by God in the ways of the Lord, fervent in spirit. He has been anointed with the Holy Ghost and with power, for he goes about doing good to those who are oppressed, for God is with him. He prays everywhere, lifting up holy hands without wrath and doubting.
Pastor Brown is our Elder for he has ruled well; he has especially labored well in the Word and the Doctrine. Therefore he shall be counted worthy of double honor.
Pastor Brown is a dreamer. Behold a dreamer comes. He retired as Pastor of New Beginnings and moved to Jacksonville Florida.
He was elected Pastor of the Morning Star Freewill Baptist church in October of 2019. Pastor Brown gives to the congregants that which is just and equal. He prays for them that God will open unto them a door of utterance to speak the mystery of Christ.
Pastor Brown walks in wisdom toward those without wisdom. He lets his speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt that he may know how to answer every man.
